WELCOME TO A VIRTUAL BULLETIN BOARD FOR THE EXPLORATION OF A WYOMING WOMEN FOR THE LAND INITIATIVE!

The goal of American Farmland Trust's (AFT) Women For the Land initiative (WFL) is to intentionally engage women who own and manage farmland and ranchland to further the AFT mission to protect agricultural land, promote sound production practices, and keep producers on the land.  In partnership with Wyoming Natural Resource Conservation Service (NRCS) and Y2 Consultants, AFT's Pacific Northwest region is exploring options to expand WFL programming into Wyoming.

Wyoming Women for the Land Engagement

Provided below are two ways to engage with our Wyoming Women for the Land program development project. We encourage you to explore both the Ideas Wall and the Survey as all responses help determine the need within Wyoming. All responses will be anonymous and information gathered will be summarized as a whole. Emails will be collected just for entry into our "No Farms No Food" swag drawing and to keep all updated on the outcome of the project.

We are also conducting listening sessions as part of our outreach that will be more of an interview-style conversation. If you are interested in participating in a listening session please reach out to our project manager, Bree Burton at bree@y2consultants.com and she would be more than happy to schedule a time with you.

We thank you in advance for being a part of this exciting project!

Wyoming Women for the Land Program Survey

Click the link below to take the survey. There are 30 questions and the survey completion time is about 10 minutes. Every respondent who enters an email will be entered into a drawing for a "No Farms No Food" prize package. The drawing will be held on September 3, 2024.

Questions 1 - 14 ask about involvement in agricultural programs to help us understand what programs are currently available and what potential opportunities for programs are. Questions 15-30 are more demographic and operation questions to help us understand the diversity of agriculture across the state to help understand what diversity in our program development we should target.

All responses are anonymous and will be kept confidential. Information collection through the survey will help the project team determine the opportunities for women-centered agricultural programming in Wyoming.
